Catherine & Craig Tango Connection Workshop – February 29th, 2020

The theme of the two classes is deepening the conversation in the dance. Class 1: Connection and Collaboration Connection and Collaboration will help leaders and followers deepen their abilities to be aware of their partner, improvise with each other and the music, and deepen somatic communication through games and exercises. Class 2: Awareness and Agency Expanding on the Connection and Collaboration class, Awareness and Agency explores pivots, pasadas, and the molinete in the context of deepening the conversation between leaders and followers. We will look at how pivots can be an avenue of expression for followers, a variety of entrances into the pasada, leaders and followers using different rhythms in the molinete. We’re excited to welcome Catherine Young and Craig Rypstat in Iowa, they’ll share their vision of Argentine social tango in a refreshing and unpretentious way.

More tango in the New year.

New year is a perfect time to review our goals and set our intentions to make the best effort to achieve them. This can also apply to your tango experience, you may have been attending classes, coming to milongas, and maybe you are even ready to challenge yourself.
Make this year your best tango experience ever, challenging yourself, getting out of your comfort zone, attending more classes-milongas, even planning an out of town trip to another tango community. Whatever you do will not only make you a better dancer, but it will also enhance your tango experience.
As you continue your tango journey, may you also share your passion for tango with friends, they may enjoy discovering a new hobby this year, and you’ll contribute to expanding our tango family. Happy New tango Year 2016!happy new year tango
